Richard J. Goldberg. M.D. (a.k.a. Dr Rich) is Professor (Emeritus) of Psychiatry & Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University. As distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association he has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and 6 books. Dr. Goldberg is the Founder of Dr. Rich Golf, a bespoke golf mental coaching program.
Dr. Rich Golf was forged from a lifetime of golf, personal inquiry, and professional work. Throughout my 45-year career in psychiatry, I learned how people can change and grow. During 25 years of competing in marathon and triathlon, I gained a personal understanding of how to mobilize performance psychology. For the past 50 years, I’ve thoughtfully engaged with meditation, mindfulness, and the study of Eastern philosophies, all of which provide invaluable skills that can help golfers of every level.
